Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how edgecased (“we”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use edgecased.vip (the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and authentication data, managed through our identity provider (Amazon Cognito). Passwords are handled by the provider and are not visible to us.
• Transaction & wallet information: records of your subscriptions, purchases, and any store-credit balance and history. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors; we do not collect or store your full payment card or crypto-wallet details.
• Usage & activity data: basic technical information such as IP address and browser type; the pages and content you view; sign-in activity, including an approximate last-seen time and a count of visits; and an approximate country that your browser derives from your device’s time-zone setting (we do not use your IP address to determine it). We use this to operate and secure the Site and to understand, in aggregate, how it is used.
• Anti-abuse signals: to enforce one-per-person free offers and detect multiple accounts created by the same person, we record a device identifier (stored in a cookie) and a one-way hash of your IP address when a free offer is claimed. We store the hash, not your raw IP, and use these signals only to prevent abuse of promotions and to secure the Site.
• Messages: the content of direct messages you send us and our replies. Messages are stored and are readable by us — they are not end-to-end encrypted. Please don’t send sensitive details (such as payment card numbers) in a message.
• Cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in, a referral cookie (from tracking links) to attribute how you found the Site, and a device cookie used to enforce one-per-person free offers. See “Cookies” below.

How we use information

• To provide and operate the Site, your account, and access to content.
• To process subscriptions and purchases and grant entitlements.
• To secure the Site, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used and which channels bring visitors.
• To operate direct messaging — to receive, read, and respond to your messages, and to send you service and occasional promotional messages.
• To communicate with you about your account or transactions.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in, a referral/attribution cookie set when you arrive via a tracking link, and a device cookie used to enforce one-per-person free offers and prevent abuse. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser, though disabling them may break sign-in.

Service providers

We rely on trusted providers to run the Site, including Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, authentication) and third-party payment processors. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices.

Data retention & deletion

We retain account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and security obligations, then delete or anonymize them.

When an account is deleted, we erase its data — including profile, purchases, likes, comments, and messages. The one exception is any leftover store-credit balance: we keep the remaining amount linked to your email address so it can be automatically restored if you create a new account with that same email. We do not retain your other deleted data for this purpose.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices & rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal limits, by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

Children

The Site is strictly for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this Policy; the “Effective” date above reflects the latest version.
